This year has certainly put a big hurt across the wedding and event industry. Over 60% of 2020 weddings postponed to 2021 with about 20% of couples cancelling their special day altogether. The pandemic and public health guidelines inspired the weddings team to partner up with some of the area’s best wedding planners to come up with packages that fit in the guidelines to help couples still tie the knot as safely as possible. Packages include a DIY version where brides and grooms bring in their own vendors as well as a weddings by the pros where planners provide the vendors like officiants, flowers, and photography. All the brides and grooms just need to show up.

Receptions are now allowed for up to 30 people and must last no longer than 3 hours. The Port Gamble Weddings team is doing everything possible to provide a safe environment for a special day. We are so pleased that all of the vendors we partner with are taking all of the precautions as well. There has been a lot of great communication between venues and vendors here in Kitsap which helps the industry overall.

Business meetings have recently been opened up at 30% of the venue capacity with masking and social distancing guidelines in place. This is something the weddings team is really excited about. Networking events and live entertainment is still prohibited, but at least businesses have the opportunity to hold meetings away from their office space and who doesn’t like a great view?
